Founded by Alaster McAnaw in 1999, Evergreen Cheshire Limited is one of the most respected garden landscaping firms in the North West.
Evergreen Cheshire Limited are specialists in garden maintenance, landscaping and design services in and around Northwich, Cheshire.
Our highly skilled and dedicated team pride themselves on their attention to detail and ensure that every aspect of our work is carried out to the very highest standards. We believe this is what makes us the first choice for garden landscaping and maintenance in the North West region.
That is why our company has never needed to advertise - all our growth is through 'word of mouth' recommendations from our valued customers.
MEET THE EVERGREEN TEAM
ALASTER founded the company back in ’99, after returning from Gstaad in Switzerland, where he helped to build and develop an 18 hole golf course.
Outside of work, Alaster is a keen outdoor sportsman- from cycling & running to outdoor swimming and clay pigeon shooting. All of this now has to fit around his new arrival, baby daughter Annie, who he absolutely adores.
Alaster is a workaholic and if he had his way would never have time out from his business, luckily his wife Mel is a holiday enthusiast so makes sure he takes regular time out to spend with his family.
DAVE has been on a colourful career path that has taken him from managing logistics businesses, to working in charitable organisations as well as challenging voluntary work, where he has enjoyed every minute of his 25 year career.
He hopes that his business and people experience will compliment the skills of the Evergreen Team, supporting the business to the next level of its future development.
Outside of work, Dave has a busy family life with 6 year old Sami, wife Roxi, grown up daughters & a gorgeous granddaughter, as well as his 2 allotments to keep him busy - just as he likes it!
LAURA joined the team in 2016 to set up and run our new offices. Her background in accountancy, recruitment and teaching means she is super organised and has a wide skillsbase - perfect for running all the 'behind the scenes' stuff at Evergreen!
Outside of work, she's busy looking after her son George, husband Chris, and high maintenance Yorkshire Terrier, Tiny. For fun, Laura loves anything to do with food and divides her free time equally between cooking, eating and watching other people cook and eat on cookery programs.
KAYLA has worked for some of New Zealand’s leading landscape designers and is now bringing her skills and experience to the UK. Her inspiration has been gained by travelling to 60+ countries and gaining privileged access to the estates of some of the wealthiest land owners in the world.
Like many Kiwis, Kayla is an adventurous girl who enjoys many water sports including kite boarding and diving. She is, of course, an ardent gardener who loves exploring new planting ideas at home and also visiting some of world’s most well known landscape designs both old and new.
STUART is one of our longest serving team members. His specialities include natural stone work and water features, as well as joinery (his previous experience was working for a bespoke kitchen company), which has been put to good use with our fantastic outdoor rooms and kitchens.
Outside of work, Stuart and his partner Suzanne have three lovely children and a Border Collie, who keep him busy but when he does get a rare minute to himself he can be found carp fishing on Dovemere.
HARRY has recently completed his level 2 in Horticulture and is now well in to his level 3 qualification, meaning he will be qualified to managerial level by the age of 18... Pretty good going, we think! He is quickly becoming a key member of the gardening team.
When he’s not revising for his exams, he can be found playing football, watching football or cycling!
Harry is also the go-to boy when you need a sugar fix!
JACK is the longest serving member of the team, and has been a part of Evergreen from the beginning, in which time he has worked in various roles and responsibilities, but most recently he has become team leader on our gardening team, which is where his passion lies, which is great because he’s fantastic at it!
Jack is married to the love of his life, Hazel, with whom he has two super boys, who we hope are going to become the next generation of ‘Team Evergreen’ (having recently seen their digging skills!)...
GEOFF has masses of experience in grounds maintenance and green keeping, having been head greenkeeper at a local (and prestigious) golf course, as well as managing his own gardening company for many years.
Geoff and his wife Pauline enjoy their holidays- and have been going to Greece for the last 20+ years, when they aren’t on holiday they can be found socialising with their many friends or walking their dog, Lady.
ASHLEY (aka Cookie) has worked in the building trade before joining Evergreen, where he heads up a landscaping van, so not surprisingly his skills are brickwork and paving.
He is a real petrol head at heart and is always tinkering with his latest project. His other passion is off road cycling- basically he enjoys anything as long as he’s in the driving seat!
KEV is one of the newest members to our team but he's already making his mark, being one of the team members who constructed the gold medal winning 'Business & Pleasure' garden and the RHS Tatton Flower Show 2017.
Outside of work Kev enjoys weekends away with his young family, camping in Wales is on the top of their list.
ADAM joined the team in 2017, having been a qualified Chef for many years. Having recently had a little boy he decided that a change of career and working hours was in order, and we're so pleased that he made that decision. He was a key member of the team involved in the construction of the RHS Flower Show, Business & Pleasure garden, in which Jake Curley received a gold medal, in the Young Designer category.
JAKE the cheeky Springer, joined the team in January 2013, since then he’s become a firm favourite with Evergreen’s regular customers, and quite often keeps their dogs company when Alaster is working.
When he’s not out working with Alaster, he can be found swimming in Budworth Mere, or running after rabbits in Marbury Park. His favourite foods are duck and broccoli stems (which his grandma saves up for him each week!).
